Castrol Braycote 601 EF is a gray, smooth NLGI # 2 grease. Base Fluid (Castrol Brayco® 815Z) is a stable perfluorinated polyester with exceptional chemical resistance, extremely low volatility and a wide range of temperature operating conditions. The gelling agent is a tetrafluoroethylene telomer. This grease contains molybdenum disulfide. This product is non-combustible, does not use chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) in the manufacture of the product and, as a rule, is chemically inert. It is an excellent lubricant, has good shear resistance and low acute toxicity. Castrol Fluoroclean ™ X100 or Castrol Fluoroclean ™ HE can be used to remove this grease. Application area
The Braycote 601 EF is designed to operate in the presence of fuel, oxidizing agents and vacuum in deep space. Typical applications include ball and roller bearings, gears, electrical contracts, and also as a lubricant for the assembly of o-rings and elastomers. This grease is highly recommended in cases where extreme temperatures and / or low vacuum are common. Perfluorinated lubricants such as this product exhibit an excellent shelf life due to their internal inertness.
