Castrol Braycote 640AC is a white, smooth, homogeneous NLGI Grade 2 grease based on a mixture of perfluoroether base oil and tetrafluoroethylene telomer. Castrol Fluoroclean ™ X100 or Castrol Fluoroclean ™ HE can be used to remove this grease. Refer to the data sheets for information on these products.
Application area
Braycote 640AC is formulated as an oxidizing agent and propellant compatible lubricant suitable for use in aerospace vehicles, spacecraft, rocket and aircraft engines, and related ground equipment, oxygen equipment, and transportation equipment. Braycote 640AC is commonly used to lubricate threaded fasteners, connectors, valves, gaskets, elastomers, and bearings. Perfluorinated lubricants tend to have excellent shelf life due to their internal inertness.
