Castrol Braycote 806 is a smooth, oily, translucent white NLGI # 2 grease based on perfluoroether base oil. It is thermally stable, non-combustible and chemically inert with respect to commonly used fuels, solvents and oxidizing agents. Castrol Fluoroclean ™ X100 or Castrol Fluoroclean ™ HE can be used to remove this grease. Refer to the data sheets for information on these products. Characteristics Braycote 806 meets the requirements and complies with the requirements of MIL-PRF-27617F Type III. The temperature range of the Braycote 806 is from -30ºC to 204ºC (-22ºF to 400ºF).
Application area
Braycote 806 is designed for static and dynamic lubrication of conical plugs, gaskets and bearings in the fuel systems of aircraft and ground equipment. It is also suitable for use in the presence of oxygen (LOX / GOX) as a lubricant for valves, threads and bearings in aerospace vehicles and ancillary equipment. Perfluorinated lubricants such as Braycote 806 have an excellent shelf life due to their inertness.
