Castrol Molub-Alloy ™ OG 9000 Heavy (formerly called the Molub-Alloy ™ 9000 Heavy) is a solvent-free, open gear lubricant.
Based on a highly refined, viscous, paraffin oil derivative with excellent oxidation and thermal stability, it is specially designed to provide maximum protection when opening mechanisms and slides on large draglines and shovels to minimize potential environmental pollutants.
Application area
It can be used on open transmissions of all sizes, loads and speeds; on slides, guides, cams and wire ropes.
Mining operations include the lubrication of shovels and draglines on all types of open gears, rails and rollers, bushings, racks and gears, sticks for bucket and other slides.
The Molub-Alloy OG 9000 Heavy complies with the P & H 520 specification for use as a universal lubricant for the mining industry.
Benefits
- A film with low shear and low friction - even at extreme pressures, a semi-dry working film is resistant to erosion from rain or wet snow, resists peeling in dusty environments and prevents the destruction of the film by polluting oils and lubricants migrating from neighboring mechanisms;
- Simple and economical application - can be applied using automatic dosing at a wide temperature range;
- Excellent resistance to rust and oxidation - protects equipment and lubricating film from harsh climate;
- Innovative compounding technology - easily proceeds in the process of film formation, but it resists “extrusion” and clings tenaciously even to the teeth in an upright position.
