Castrol TribolTM GR SW 460-1 is a lithium complex-based lubricant containing a synthetic base fluid that works in conjunction with Castrol MicroFlux Trans - Plastic Deformation's unique Trans-Plastic Deformation (MFT-PD) additive technology.
Application area
Tribol GR SW 460-1 is recommended for heavy industrial applications, especially with regard to the main bearings of wind turbines, angular and link bearings. It provides superior bearing protection at high loads at low to moderate speeds and in applications where water resistance is critical.
A very important feature is to help reduce wear from static vibration, known as false desalination, and from sliding movement due to axial traction. These are the most noticeable types of failures in the main bearings of wind turbines.
