Castrol Optigear ™ BM is a particulate-free, high performance gear oil with Microflux TransTM (MFT) additive package. They are designed to reduce wear caused by surface fatigue, cracking, chipping, seizing, scoring or bumps during break-in and normal operation. Microflux Trans additives (TRANS = TRiple Action Non-sacrificial Surface engineering) improve friction surfaces, thereby preventing wear on surfaces where this cannot be done using conventional machining and conventional lubricants with EP (extreme pressure) additives. In a tribological system, polarized MFT additives instantly create a passive film on friction surfaces before it appears.

Application

• For all types of industrial gearboxes, especially those operating under extremely high loads, in which traditional oils with EP additives are inoperative.
• Long-term lubrication under the most extreme mechanical stress, vibration and elevated temperatures.
• In cylindrical, bevel and worm gearboxes operating at low and medium loads.
• In gearboxes subjected to high sliding friction and high pressure on the Hertz surface up to 2000 N / mm2 (elevators, rolling mills, belt conveyors, extruders, vibration equipment, shredders, high-speed pendulum equipment and separators).
• In eccentrics, cam shafts and planetary gears.
• In variable speed drives (PIV). In hermetically sealed gear couplings.
• In all types of bearings, especially spherical roller, full complement cylindrical roller and thrust bearings.
• In circulating systems.
