Castrol Optigear EP is a high-quality mineral gear oil containing Castrol's advanced additive system that provides special plastic deformation (PD) and improved surface characteristics. Application
In oils of the Optigear EP series, the combination of PD properties as well as the CLP and GL5 properties, tested on the FZG (Sprungtest) installation, means that this series is especially suitable for use in boundary lubrication conditions, in particular in gearboxes and bearings with an operating mode -stop, for example in robots or looms.
