Castrol Rustilo 652 (formerly SafeCoat 652) is a general purpose corrosion inhibitor for use where solvent based inhibitors are not acceptable.

Application area

Rustilo 652 is especially recommended for cold rolled products, bars and wires. It can also be used as an additive in cleaning and anticorrosion processes using hydrocarbon solvents. The recommended concentration for these applications is 10-30%.

Another application of Rustilo 652 is the protection of products after deep drawing operations and cold rolled sheets during light forming operations in the automotive industry. It can also be used as a test fluid for hydraulic equipment and when checking for leakage of closed gears, pumps and tanks.

Can be applied by brush, spray or dip.
