Orbit grease (TU 38.401-58-5-90) is a durable gyroscopic material for lubricating high-speed rolling bearings. VNIINP-228 is close in characteristics to lubricant, but significantly exceeds the latter in terms of working capacity due to the lower volatility of its dispersion medium.
Application area
Orbit grease is designed for high-speed rolling bearings with a long service life in the temperature range of -60 ... 150 ° C. As a long-term gyroscopic lubricant for high-speed rolling bearings, Orbit grease is similar to VNIINP-228 grease, but surpasses it in service life by about 4 times, due to the significantly lower volatility of its dispersion medium, compared with VNII NP-228 grease. Orbit grease can be used in a wide temperature range due to its good low-temperature properties. Orbit grease is also used in aircraft gyroscopes, and is currently the only substitute for previously manufactured greases for aircraft gyroscope bearings.
