SK-2-06 grease is a soft white ointment with a smooth texture.
Application area
Apply SK-2-06 grease in pipeline fittings, threaded joints, and in some friction units in contact with aggressive media. SK-2-06 grease is exclusively chemically inert, compatible with almost any non-ferrous and ferrous metals, rubbers, polymers and alloys
Benefits
- Water resistant.
- Insoluble in acids, alcohols, alkalis, hydrocarbons, etc.
- Inert to strong oxidizing agents such as fuming nitric and sulfuric acids, to nitrogen oxides, chlorine, hydrogen peroxide, amines, hydrazines.
- Slightly soluble in ammonia.
Soluble in Freon-113 or other low molecular weight fluorocarbon fluids. At an oxygen concentration of up to 50%, it is resistant to pressure up to 100 MPa. In the case of contact with oxygen on an open surface, SK-1-06 grease is used without restrictions with oxygen pressure up to 1.6 MPa. If the pressure reaches 16 MPa, the thickness of the open layer of grease should not exceed 50 microns. By properties and purpose, SK-1-06 grease is close to VNIINP-282 grease, which in some cases can be used as a substitute for it.
