ZUM grease complex lithium grease - has greater strength than LZ TsNII, better colloidal and mechanical stability, low evaporation at high temperatures, lack of water and higher viscosity at low temperatures. ZUM grease is less prone to heat hardening, has better antioxidant, protective and anticorrosive properties. These parameters make it possible to reduce the wear of bearing parts by about 2–3 times during the operation of the wagon, which are the main cause of heating and, as a result, breakdown of the axle box assembly, uncoupling of the wagon for repair, etc. Bench tests have shown that ZUM grease is capable of increase the service life of friction units at high temperatures up to + 150С.
