Gear PG is a polyglycol-based synthetic oil with very good low-temperature characteristics, thermal and oxidative stability and anti-friction properties. Reduce friction and increase the efficiency of highly loaded gearboxes. They are used primarily for lubrication of worm gears (friction pair “bronze-steel”), as well as for circulating lubrication of bearings (for example, calenders of paper machines). Gear PG should not be used for bronze alloys containing aluminum.
Benefits
- Exceptional extreme pressure properties and wear protection for critical parts and components
- High level of protection for critical gears against micropitting of spot chipping
- Protection against rust and corrosion during operation
- Resistance to foaming
- Excellent lubricity characteristic of fully synthetic lubricants
- Low coefficient of friction, which improves energy efficiency and reduces the average volumetric temperature of the oil and system
- Very good thermal oxidative stability, reducing sludge and scale formation.
Application area
MASPROM Gear PG series oils are specially designed for the lubrication of worm gears, especially for those operating under harsh conditions, both in the food and other industries. The products of this family have also established themselves as excellent lubricants for various types of industrial gearboxes and rolling bearings operating in harsh operating conditions. In addition, low miscibility with hydrocarbons makes lower viscosity oils particularly effective in compressing hydrocarbon gases. Moreover, in these systems, the decrease in viscosity slows down, in comparison with compressor oils based on hydrocarbons.
