Transformer oil is a mineral oil of high purity and low viscosity, obtained by refining oil fractions. It is made on the basis of sulfur-free base oils with the addition of antioxidant additives. To ensure consistently high product quality, transformer oil requires a special storage regime.
Application area
The main field of use of transformer oils is power technology (switches, reactors and transformers). As for the Ukrainian industry, our oils are used as:
- insulating material;
- heat conducting and extinguishing medium.
Impregnation of paper or fabric with such oil creates high-quality insulation of equipment and equipment used for industrial purposes to protect the population. In this case, dielectric stability and oxidative stability are of particular importance.
