Scope of application
Mobilgard series diesel engine oils are designed to lubricate the cylinders and bearings of marine and industrial diesel engines operating on distillate or light mixed fuels.
They can be used to lubricate the crankcase of large crosshead diesel engines running on high sulfur fuels.
Mobilgard is recommended by some diesel manufacturers as a break-in oil for crosshead engines.
The main and most effective application is the use of these oils in high-speed engines with a relatively small cylinder diameter in the fishing fleet, in new engines operating under increased load, and in many types of medium-speed engines.
