MOL TO 40 A Extra is an inhibited electrical insulating oil designed primarily for use in high-power transformers, electrical relays and oil-filled switches. MOL TO 40 A Extra oil is excellent for use in transformers operating at voltages of 120 kV or higher and with a capacity of 40 MVA and higher. When used in less powerful transformers, the oil life may be equal to the life of the transformer itself. Inhibited transformer oils have the advantage of lower costs associated with transformer maintenance and oil changes.
