Shell Mysella LA is a high quality oil for high speed spark ignition engines requiring low ash oils. Shell Mysella LA was created for a new generation of stationary gas engines that meet the requirements of developing environmental laws that limit the emission of nitrogen oxides into the atmosphere and require the application of lean and clean combustion technology.
Application area
Spark ignition gas engines using natural gas as fuel. It can also be used in engines running on sour gas, when low ash oil is recommended for them.
Benefits
- Excellent piston and engine cleanliness
- Provides long-term and effective operation of the engine.
- Exceptional oxidation and nitration resistance
- It prevents the increase of viscosity and the formation of acidic products, especially under difficult conditions, due to this, the oil resource increases.
- Optimized ash level and alkalinity
- High ash oils can cause solid deposits in gas engines. Mysella LA is designed to provide acid neutralization and corrosion protection even at low ash levels (<0.5%).
- Low phosphorus
- Due to the phosphorus content not exceeding 300 mg / kg, the oil can be successfully used in engines equipped with catalytic afterburning.
