GKZH water repellent (Code: )

GKZh-11K water repellent agent is potassium methylsiloxonate intended for hydrophobization of a wide range of inorganic substrates. Before use, the product is usually diluted to a concentration of 3%, it is possible to use less concentrated solutions. After interacting with carbon dioxide contained in air, the product becomes insoluble in water and gives the substrate (after 24 hours) water-repellent properties. Recommended for industrial use.

Application area

GKZH-11K before use is diluted with water to a concentration of 3% or lower concentrations. (For example: 3-3.5 liters of GKZH-11K having a concentration of 46% are diluted with 50 liters of water). The use of more concentrated solutions is recommended only after preliminary tests, as this can lead to the appearance of white coating on the treated surface. For more information on proper dilution, see this link. The working solution is prepared in the amount necessary for 1-2 hours of work. During decorative processing, 0.2% of the pigment is added to the working solution. The prepared working solution is checked in irresponsible places for processing efficiency. Recommended for industrial use.
